The Isolierband Robotics Competition challenges robotics hobbyists to build a robot that can follow a line to the furthest point on a track, as fast as possible.
-
The competition is built as a "race" between robots on different lanes from the same type (action...action... big fun... ).
-
Some of the advanced tracks have some "special features" - see Isolierband Robotics Competition rules documents and some tracks and guidelines from previous seasons. However... if your robot can follow a line... you will be able to participate...
-
Each robot competes on several types of tracks.
-
After qualifications - best robots will go to the final stage.
-
Adults CAN participate and actively help by any means with the creation and programming of the robot. However - the operators of the robot should be no more than 14 years old (we have 6 years old as well....) - and they should be able to explain EXACTLY how their robot works, describe its parts, software and algorithms driving their robot.
Please note: Those are not the rules of the competition, just a non-formal brief.
If you want to participate as a competitor, please register and carefully read the rules.
-
The competition is a non-profit event, operated by volunteers.
-
It's a cool event - Please help us to keep it like that - we expect you to dress crazy, make a lot of noise, dance, meet people and have a lot of good בלגן (Pronounced: BA-LA-GUN).
If you don't know what בלגן means - please try to search or ask.
Questions and discussions are held in the Facebook group established for this purpose:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/IsolierbandRoboticsCompetition/
Please send a request and we'll approve you unless you are a robot yourself.
See you on the competition floor !!
